Meanwhile on 28 March: Ventura County stood for democracy!

In March, our community made history in Ventura as more than 10,000 people attended No Kings III: the largest protest ever organized at the Ventura County Government Center. We stood together to send a clear message: We choose democracy.

Dr. Gaye Theresa Johnson, director of UC Santa Barbara’s Blum Center on Poverty, Inequality, and Democracy, also headlined the rally. Dr. Johnson is a historian of freedom struggles, and her keynote above perfectly captures why democracy still matters. And of course, we snapped some beautiful photos to go with her inspiring words. 🤗

Open till 16 April: Our Youth Essay Contest

Attention, Ventura County youth! What have you done in the name of justice or democracy to encourage others to take action? If you can inspire our community with an essay (500 words) or video (2 to 4 minutes) tackling this topic, you could win a scholarship for 1st place ($1,500), 2nd ($1,000), 3rd ($750), or honorable mention ($250).

How do I enter? Ventura County public high school seniors can submit their essay or video link to info@justiceforallvc.org by April 16, 2026, along with a short bio. We’ll recognize the winner at an event in their school and spotlight them across our online media!

Meanwhile on 17 January: You proved “Courage Is Contagious”

Date: Saturday, January 17, 2026
Location: Plaza Park
Address: E Thompson Blvd, Ventura, CA 93001

Justice for All Ventura County and our partners, Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Indivisible Ventura, organized Ventura County’s Women’s March on Saturday, January 17th, in Ventura’s Plaza Park. This was JFAVC’s 10th anniversary demonstrating, advocating, educating and marching for social justice in Ventura County.

You made this 10th Annual Women’s March possible!

As we’ve watched hard-fought human rights stripped from one community after another over the past year in Ventura County, thousands of you persisted and stood together on January 17th, 2026 — showing America’s autocrats that “Courage Is Contagious”.
